Blue Sun Manufacturing Rebrands to TORQ Manufacturing, Launches New Website
Pleasant View, Utah – January 28, 2024 – Blue Sun Manufacturing, a Utah-based precision machine shop, is proud to announce its rebrand to TORQ Manufacturing. This transformation, which includes a fresh name, visual identity, and an enhanced website, reflects the company’s growth and evolution over the past 14 years. While the name has changed, TORQ Manufacturing’s commitment to quality craftsmanship, strong partnerships, and delivering exceptional results remains unwavering.
Initially founded to develop and manufacture components for LED lighting, the company has since shifted focus into becoming a precision machining partner for other high-tech industries including aerospace, medical, firearms, and consumer goods This shift rendered the original name, Blue Sun, somewhat irrelevant.
CEO and president, Kyle Ellis wanted a brand that would position his company as a leader in precision machining and provide a strong foundation to build upon long into the future. The name “TORQ” originated from he and his team’s love of motorsports and machining and it fittingly reflects the company’s drive, strength, and reliability, qualities that have fueled its reputation since its founding in 2010.
The rebrand was developed in collaboration with Marketing Metal, “the anti-agency” based out of Holland, Michigan that’s hell-bent on helping job shops scale their profitability and impact. Together, the teams crafted a new identity that captures the energy, precision, and expertise that define TORQ Manufacturing today.
